If you really want to do an engine swap forget about the low powered 
1.9 Ford engine, yes i like Fords but a 1.9 is a turd.

Go with the 4.3 Chevrolet Vortec engine, lots of HP and lots of 
upgrades and more dependable than the 1.9. Plus there is a Bellhousing 
that you can buy that bolts to the 4.3 and stock Delorean tranny. here 
is a link to the 4,3 swap but it is down at the moment and the owner 
needs to reactivate it...
