[DML] Re: Jacking it up.



Under the engine cradle. That's also where you can position the jack
stands (by the lower connecting arms). I'm not a big fan of jacking
the car up by its fiberglass underbody. Too many horror stories.
Besides, all other vehicles (in-line drive train) are jacked up by
their crossmembers...

Never work under a car supported by the jack alone. Jack stands,
however, are very safe -- I'd argue even safer than ramps, especially
on the driving wheels.
