I have come to that milestone in my life,where it is time to
part,with some of my past,and right now it happens to be all my
Deloreans and parts,as I have sold my garage and will not have a
place to put everything,(my home garage has more deloreans in it to)
so that is out of the question,also those go with the package.It is
22yrs of Delorean collections(cars/parts/books/videos,Item(s)I
developed/made for the Deloreans ect.NONE and I mean none have ever
seen light(or rain)or outside since,the early mid 1980's(I have too
MUCH respect for deloreans to do that)(park them outside unused to
rot-----NEVER)
I will be adding TONS of pics(right now there are 41,
(pics are on a link)but I will put something in the order of 100 or
so,or as long as my digital camera will last.That is why I am running
a pre-lude,so that if anyone wants to come down,and "take a look"
just email me.(I cannot sell piece by piece,as I do not have the
manpower)
I am/will be running a most honest auction,and the highest
bidder gets all,I estimate enough DMC stuff that someone could easily
start a Internet Delorean business,If parted piece by piece(I don't
have the heart to do that)at the right prices there is well over
$100,000 or more?? ,as most partsand cars are unmolested
originals,by that I mean that wiring has never been played around
with,fuse boxes are all unmelted,frames all are rot/rust
free,interiors are sun damage free,dashes are all as new,rubber is
supple,seats are virgin,undamaged,dashes are perfect,tires are
original(some still with Belfast air,no less(remember I had these
since the early eighties(and some of the tires are still untouched
since they left the factory)
I have kept most tires in a dark cool area,with zero sunlight.I gave one
to a member on this list,and he
was amazed,how perfect it was(has it on his car) I will answer any
questions anyone wants to ask,as I do not want anyone to think,that I
am going to "run some shill auction".This is a genuine collector
auction,at a most reasonable price,and being a dmcnews member,since
around 1997,I am not going anywhere(and at the same address since
1980)
And I one day WILL buy another Delorean,as it is hard to
erase,22 years of your life,it is just my turn now, to hand over
the "keys" to someone else,and let them enjoy,the cars I saved,and
maybe bring some future joy,to some future generation.

fuse to maintain the protection. I have done this and....my door ajar

Why not simply insert into line from Fuse #12? Junction of purple
wires is under console, inches from blank switches. Could then keep
factory original fuse protection.

Indicator is fed from fuse #5 and it was
never said the car was powered up or not.
Fuse #5 is hot with ignition on.

Read this agian and again... and again... and yet again...
And still don't understand what you mean.
How can electricity be a diode??? If you mean that no power can flow
between two points at the same voltage you're right, but remember
(read again) that it was specifically stated that #12 is out!
So no power there!!!

If you take a good look at the wiring diagram which I know you have one,
and you understand what you are looking at, you can clearly see that the
indicator CAN light through the interior lights. It's simply in series
with ALL the door-lights AND the light you flip on...
But because there's 6 lights in the doors in parralel AND a non-lit
bulb has WAY less resistance, especially with higher wattage bulbs,
only the low-power indicator lights and the rest does not.
But is you pull them ALL the indicator will not light
because the series is interrupted...

No they are not; the diode by the indicator and the diodes under
the dash are in series, so current can flow there. And because of
lack of #12 fuse the diodes do NOT block, but are open to current.

I've told a few people who have called recently about our new seat
covers, and feel that it' sonly fair to let everyone know so that
they don't "overpay" for seat covers from somewhere else.
Earlier this year, as the supply of original seats began to run out,
we decided to look into to having CORRECT reproductions made. As
anyone can go to a local upholstery shop and get a set of seat covers
made, we always avoided selling them unless they were the correct
leather and grain of vinyl.
Bridge of Weir no longer offers the correct color/grain of the
leather...unless you want to buy 100 hides. The ICI vinyl is also no
longer manufactured in the correct grain and colors.
We have engaged a company in Spain to re-create the correct colors
and grains of the leather, and also make a die to impress to proper
grain into the vinyl. The first samples of the seat covers and the
vinyl arrived a while back, and we're making the final adjustments
now. I expect to have product available for sale in February.
These will be sold in sets, at least initially, four pieces per set
(most people's screw-on rear panels are good) and are expected to
come in at less than $600 for the SET. You can have them installed
locally, and we may even be able to offer a video and tool so the
brave can try to install the covers themselves.
The next question, which I will try to head off here, is what about
the rest of the vinyl interior parts? They are evaluating and costing
a die to make the "ripple" vinyl like on the sides of the console and
knee pads. Depending on how that cost comes in, those may be coming
along as well.
