Actually, I originally molded the first units with a bottom (wheels and all)
and no one cared for them at all. They also had a "funny feel" to them in
your hand. The double top version looks great from all directions and feels
great in you hand. These are already in limited production and can also be
made to order in colors. I just placed that one on ebay for feedback
purposes to see if you guys out there liked them. Let me know your opinions
about it and if there is enough interest, I will put them up on a dutch
auction at a set price so you won't have to bid against each other. I figure
that introducing some new products help keep interest in the car and the
dream alive.

This reminded me of something that happened a few months ago.. I was
test driving and automatic Delorean in a very expensive area between Ft.
Lauderdale and Miami (aventura).. While driving around, a bright yellow
lamborghini Diablo went cruising by, and flipped up his door while going
by. He was quite a bit ahead before I thought to flip up the door hello.

My girlfirend just had a Baby Girl on Sunday Sept 28, 2003 1105 AM 8lbs 4oz I named her Delorean. Mom's name is DeDe the Fathers name is Dorian so what a match. Huh? Now I need the history about John Delorean how he started I think it was in 1976. What all happened with his project the ups and downs ect... I know he sold out in 1991 but there's a 17 year span I don't have details about.

rotatable. HOWEVER, shuffling thru the "Tires, Rotation" section of google,
the concensus seems to be that they may be rotated R-L, L-R. UNLESS, they

And you would be wrong. Age does deteriorate tires.
The rubber compounds outgas from the moment they
are released from the mold. You can vacuum pack
a fresh tire, stuff it in a barrel, stuff the
barrel in a climate controlled room, turn out
the lights and lock the door and after 10 years
the tire is still junk. The tread will harden,
the sidewalls will stiffen, and the tire will
lose grip and stability. All those sprays do
NOTHING to preserve a tire because they can't
stop the chemistry. If they did, you would have
to coat the whole tire inside and out, not just
the part you can see.
If you just want something to hold the car up
and look pretty, go ahead and spray up your old
tires. If you want to experience the car as the
designers intended, you need new tires.

Goodyear is phasing out Eagle GT II series. Replacement is Eagle
H-something (HR?). I think Sears is already retailing it. May be just
as well -- 15" tires weren't available in GT II black letter,
requiring those of us running them to turn around (liable to curb
chips/rubs).

I had the strangest occurrence with my DeLorean today. I was accelerating normally from a stop in 1st gear and everything was fine until about 3,000 rpms and up. The car started to jerk violently until I shifted into 2nd. But, when accelerating in 2nd gear the same thing started to happen until I shifted into 3rd gear. The problem didn't occur in 3rd gear. The car seemed to shift normally through all the gears and there weren't any funny smells or sounds. Keep in mind this car is driven everyday and the clutch was replaced about 6000 miles ago.
This problem occurred twice today and I barely made it home.
I was wondering if anyone experienced this problem or knows what could be causing this. I really hope the transmission is okay.

Who's consensus? If it's just a bunch of people
on a forum someplace, you are dealing with opinion.
Most of the steel-belted radial tires I have owned,
NCT's, Michelin X, Bridgestone Turanza, Yokohama AVS,
and Dunlops, should not be rotated from one side of the
car to the other. This is based on the manufacturer's
recommendation. Rather than asking an internet forum,
you should be talking to the tire manufacturer to
understand the proper care for your tires.

What is the fuel level in your tank.
If the level is low and the baffle is not properly in place around the fuel
pick up the gas can move away from the pickup.
Another possibility is that your fuel suction hose has a tear in it and the
tear is exposed when you accelerate.
I am sure that there are several more things to check but I would start with
these.

There is about half a tank in the car. I don't think this is a fuel problem because when this jerkiness happened, the car was in gear. When the car was in neutral, it would rev up with no problems (all the way to 5500 rpms).

Subject: Nitto Tires NT-555R
I am looking for the opinion of some of the tire experts on this list. I had Nitto tires (nittotires.com) on my Delorean several years ago and was very impressed with the ride and the handling of the car. Since then I have put the Yokohama tires on and wasn't quit as impressed as I was with Nitto tires. Unfortunately, at this time Nitto does not make the same size tires as our car came.
In the NT-555R extreme drag tire they have the P275/50R15 101V for the back and the 205/55R14 85V for the front. These tire sizes are the closest they have to our original sizes. They are about one inch larger in diameter, so the car will set about 0.5 inches higher; however, they should still fit. I am going to ask my tire company their opinion, but I do respect and can sift through the emails from this list. These tires are really soft and only last about 10,000 miles, so they may not be for everyone, but I do not have a problem with replacing my tires on my Delorean every year if they ride and handle really good.

Hello All.
I had the strangest occurrence with my DeLorean today. I was accelerating
normally from a stop in 1st gear and everything was fine until about 3,000
rpms and up. The car started to jerk violently until I shifted into 2nd.
But, when accelerating in 2nd gear the same thing started to happen until I
shifted into 3rd gear. The problem didn't occur in 3rd gear. The car
seemed to shift normally through all the gears and there weren't any funny
smells or sounds. Keep in mind this car is driven everyday and the clutch
was replaced about 6000 miles ago.
This problem occurred twice today and I barely made it home.
I was wondering if anyone experienced this problem or knows what could be
causing this. I really hope the transmission is okay.
