I have a few questions:

Is it a 5-speed or automatic, and what color is the interior?

John showed up!  He gave a great speech and answered a lot of
different questions.  He even gave us info on the new cars he is
coming out with.  His daughter, Kathryn, hosted the raffle and felt
at ease up in front of all of us.  Over all, it was a GREAT evening.
the museum even had a Mercedes 300sl gullwing!  2 more days to go.

The factory currently has two tenants; Shorts Bombardier who make airplanes,
and Montupet who make aluminium engine cyclinder heads and wheels.
All of the equipment was auctioned by the receivers during three days in May
1984.   This auction included a number of cars, all the machine tools, auto
test equipment, everything  - even what was John's desk!
The factory internal tannoy/public address system ended up in Knock airport
(Ireland).
The factory and test track will be open to DeLorean enthusiasts next May
(24th thru 27th) at EUROFEST 2001 when conducted tours will be held.

I just wanted to express my appreciation for all the picture coverage by Michael and Dave and others on the Show......for those of us unable to attend, it is nothing short of fantastic.   I am printing out all of the pictures on Bright White Paper and putting them in an album.   That is the closest I can get to actually attending in person.  I have never seen such great coverage even to live motion full size screen of the various cam views.   In looking at the people present, I can see I would have been out of place anyway.  You are ALL such young kids!  Ho Ho.  I am 79 but still going strong.

I AM curious about the mechanics of the pictures......I am into digital cameras and use it extensively.  Assume this is how you are taking the pictures (what camera?) and then either sending them from a hotel room via a laptop and Juno, or maybe someones home in Cleveland.....anyway....great and many thanks.

To Cleveland Show Participants,

We are swamped with service work at or off site location and I need some administrative assistance.  I mainly need someone with a cell phone who could act as our direct contact between our off-site location and the downtown show. We will pay all cell phone costs.

If you think you can help out give me a call ASAP at 216 595-6935.

Thanks, DMC Joe

Murray,

Glad to hear that the website coverage is being used.  I still have 60+
pictures to post from last night with DeLorean, and have taken about 180 so
far today (hope you have a big album!

I am starting to get a little backlogged on the updates, but I WILL get
everything out there. . . Hope that you all are enjoying the show from afar

The pictures I have taken were at 640 x 480 Resolution on High quality.  The
camera I have will do 1344x1024 and Low, Middle, High and Super quality.  I
have bought a 64MB chip in it.  It's a Sony Cyber-shot Pro (DSC-D770).

If nothing else I will work on getting all of the pictures ready for posting
on the first leg of the trip Sunday, so I will hopefully have it all out
there Sunday night/Monday Morning.

Hi all. I have been an avid reader of the DML for about 2-3 years
now.  But alas i have not been an owner.  Right now i am pushing
through my need for horsepower stage of my life, and I would
love to get my hands on a D.

I have a 1991 Nissan 300zx (the new body style) which is in excellent
condition.  I wish to trade this awesome sports car for a D.

The Delorean must be in good mechanical condition. Meaning the
drivetrain must be good.  I cant really deal with a bad troubled
engine or transmission.  Basically the mechanical aspects of
the car must be good.. doors must work properly. etc..
But i dont really car about the interior you could have taken
a dump in there with a deer in the passenger seat and i'd love
to take it.. since i do plan on updating the interior.. plus
the exterior panels could have some dents in it.. no big deal..
perhaps even be painted..

well if you have any ideas or if you know anyone who wants to
get rid of their D and needs a car that is still a beautiful
sports car but cheaper on the insurance..contact me

Well I had AC charged today only to find out the orifice had metal
shavings in it.  This was keeping AC from working to full potential.
Now this puppy blows out some cold air.
1. PROBLEM: My wife was in passenger seat and felt a drip of water on
her feet, condensation?
2. PROBLEM: AC vents in counsel are broken, are these fixable when
pulled out or just buy new ones?

production will beging?  Any information would be greatly appreciated
for those of us who couldn't make it to John's speech.

He said that he wants the car to be available by 2002.  The frame for
the new car will be totally different than any other.  It will be
made of carbon fiber.  he stated that it is so strong, that you could
drop it from a ten story building and it would bounce.  He told us
about 2 cars.  One would be in the same class as the McLaren.  It
would have gullwing doors and have about 1200 horse power.  the other
would cost $20K and have gullwing doors.  I can't remember what else
was said...can anyone else remember?
His daughter was promoting his car today at the show.  The DMC
watches were for sale for $3000.  There was a lot more info about the
watch that I can't totally remember.  Hopefully someone will post a
message about it.  Ken??
John walked around today looking at all the cars and posing for
photos with owners.  The whole even today was AWESOME!!  I've never
been to something this great!  It will go down in history as the best
Delorean car show ever.  Ken did a wonderfull job along with his
family and the Ohio Club.

Sorry - I'm kind of out of energy for now .  I have posted one update to the
Cleveland Show on the www.dmcnews.com web site. Dan McGauley has also posted
updates on the www.deloreancarshow.com site.Be sure to check it out.

Yes, John Z. showed up at the main show and seemed to have a great time.

I'll be putting more together in the next day or three, so be sure to keep
checking. With over 300 people in attendance there were a lot of digital
cameras running. This will probably be the most-covered car show in a long
time.

The show made the 9 PM news here in Cleveland. Mike Substelny will be trying
to get the video converted for posting a little later as well.

Thanks especially to Ken Koncelic for putting this together. What a
fanatastic event.

Whew

Dave

no there are 2 cars being made
one has 1200hp and will be like a mclaren w/ gullwing doors (mclaren=fastest
car in production)
and the 2nd car will be about 20,000 w/ gullwing doors

i hope its not 20,000 dollars like his last estimated price.....

There are actually 2 cars that he is looking at.  The 1200hp would be a
"super car" and would probably be priced along side the McLaren (about $1
Million, American). while the other will possibly have several power plant
options starting at around 250hp (I think).
