regraining the scratches

congrats on the delivery! i just perfected the best way to get out deep scratches. since mine was painted, i had to remove the orbital "grind" swirls out of the entire body! go to Lowes in the hand tool section and get a NYLON WHEEL from Columbian, item # 59008. this is a medium (120 grit) 4" wheel with a 1/4" shank. wash the area, then polish with a drill! the best part, since its not an abrasive wheel, you only have to go with the grain, you can cross grain paterns and it doesnt leave "up and down" lines! then lightly, youll know how hard, sand with the grain with 220 grit paper to even out the pattern, thats it! i wint one step farther and wet sanded with 1000 grit to actually polish mine and it looks like glass! let me know if this helps!
