I'd read somewhere that Porsche were originally approached to
'engineer' the DeLorean, but they wanted 4yrs to carry out the work,
which the British Government said was too long, so thats why Lotus
stepped in because they offered to do it in 18mths.  Does anyone know
if this is true or not?
