Our club website pretty well tells the full story, as far as I know it.
The Chassis frame numbers are a good clue. But as no proper records
exist, I feel this is an area we should look at. All of the 12XXX have
low chassis/frame numbers.  I really think we ought to assemble these
frame numbers.

Some I know are:-

Vin 520 frame 76
Vin 528   f   129
Vin 530   f   110
Vin 570   f   152
Vin 12173 f  170 RHD
Vin 12199 f  278 RHD
Vin 2631  f 2276 LHD
Vin 20049 f 9419 LHD 83 car.

I am under the impression that most, if not all, of the 12XXX series
RHD cars are actually very early production cars that were converted
by Wooler-Hodec at the direction of DMC/DMCL.

Has anyone ever noticed if there were any other contradicting VIN
markings in the usual locations (under headliners, rear frame
extension) that would indicate that these were actual production cars?

More than half of the VIN's 500-550 are unaccounted for per the last
DPC, and I'm wondering where they all went...

Looking forward to seeing you all at Eurofest and/or Lotus in a few
weeks!
