Re: [doc] Re: Need a Craig Radio!

Hey
The radio can pick up some channels. The problems are that the little screen does not work, and the tape deck does not work either.

I took it apart for a look, and the rubber bits have gone, along with the bands inside, which is a pity, but I'm sure someone out there can repair them.

I really want to keep the original radio, so I'm going to leave a radio out until I get something sorted. Cutting= BAD ;-)

  Thanks
  Thomas

(p.s. if you have any luck with yours, fancy fixing mine??)

  hi

do you know hwat is wrong with it?. anything should be fixable!.

the screen is an easy fix, but you need to be good with a soldering
iron.

is it completely dead? (i assume youv'e checked the fuse!)

there may be an internal fuse.

(mine does not power up but have not yet investigated, i intend to
get it working though.
maybe i'll change my mind but i don't really agree on changing it
and would rather keep the car as original as possible.
to me like having a fifties car with a modern cd...just does not go,
maybe i'm old fashioned.

and i definately would not cut the plate.

Regards

Steve
