... just as a side note, if you do make up your own cable, make sure
it is the 'pre-stretched' stuff, you need 3 metres of it but then
like Chris says at £12+ postage probably just as well to buy
the 'real' thing..

Mine was frayed to bits just as it starts to go round the throttle
spool, a little hard to see without really looking for it but as 50%
of the strands has gone ping im glad i didnt find out the hard way :)

Just make sure when you pull the old one through that there are no
loose bits that might get lodged inside the outer tube. I put grease
on the old cable before pulling it out and plently on the new one as
i pushed it back through, there is quite a sense of relief as it
eventually comes through the other end... but then im easily
pleased :) :)

Regards

buy some cable from a bike shop but you need the little 'ball' on the
end that attaches to the pedal. Easy to replace just dis connect it
from the throttle spool and pull back thru at the pedal end. Then
using some lubricant and thread the new line back through. It can be
a little difficult at times but take your time and it will eventually
come out the other end.
