RE: [doc] Eurofest Ferry's From Up North

Thanks to the great Ferry offer listed by Rich J. on Sunday, I went for it.
£96 return (cabin on the late night return trip) www.norsemerchant.com

Although.... hidden away on their website I found that it will be the worlds
slowest ferry - 8hours from Birkenhead over to either Belfast or Dublin.
Rachael and I will be staying with friends in Manchester on Wednesday 24th
so to make the 8am check in on the Eurofest Thursday morning. Chose Dublin
as the drop zone as:-

1) I want to drive from Ireland to Belfast
2) the return journey is 10pm on the Sunday, so lots of time after the
Giants Causeway to scenic drive back to Dublin again...

So, is anyone else heading up to Belfast from Dublin at 6pm on the 25th. We
will probably reach the Europa around 8.30pm.

All booked and ready for both events. Photo ID is required for the ferry by
the way.

Subject: [doc] Eurofest Ferry's From Up North

All.

Can I please get a quick show of hands (or emails) from anyone
planning to attend Eurofest.

At the moment there only seems to be a couple of people from up North
going with their DeLoreans.

Primary routes appear to be as follows:

---------------------------------------------------

Birkenhead - Belfast on the overnight service, 4course evening meal,
ensuite cabin and breakfast provided.

Out 22:30 arrive Belfast 06:30
Return 22:30 arrive Birkenhead 06:30

Fares if booked via Robert Lamrock's deal = £190 (car + 2 passengers)

---------------------------------------------------

Stranraer - Belfast on high speed service. Here there is a much
greater choice of sailing times.

Out 9:55 arrive Belfast 11:45 (High speed ferry)
Return 20:00 arrive Stranraer 23:15 (slightly slower)

Fares now at £110

---------------------------------------------------

If others are planning either route please reply of list, I live
closer to Birkenhead, but currently plan a gentle run to Stranraer....
