Re: [doc] question about refurbing alloys

hi thanx (and Chris)

they are due to be powder coated on monday, which i will probably
use as a base coat and then two pack over.

i have already matched the paint and bought a litre (plenty so that
a couple couple be done again in future if damaged)

a couple of places have said difficult to get between the spokes!.
But i take it not impossible!

i already have the tyres and will use stick on weights.

Regards

Steve

colour that was on them. He sandblasted the wheels to remove old
paint and dirt, then smoothed out all the kerb marks (From the
previous owners of course!), then put a few coats of primer on, a
few coats of 2-pack and then a few coats of laquer. Then I bought a
nice new set of chrome wheel nuts off ebay (Izuzu Trooper) and the
wheels look fantastic.
