Don't go using the haynes manual for either DeLorean or Renault when it 
comes to fault diagnosis. The DeLorean engine has lambda and idlespeed 
systems which can both cause problems the Haynes manuals won't go into. 
Get the DeLorean workshop manual

FWIW it's a pre-83 Volvo 760 and 260 and Renault 25 V6 (normally 
aspirated) and 30 V6
