RE: [doc] Re: Cave paintings.....Yes this is delorean related

I wish I had more time to work on my D. Maybe this year I will make an
effort, I am shooting the gadgetshow next week and I wanted my car ready
for then, (Calipers are locked) Just for reference this is not a
Delorean problem, I paid £90,000 for my BMW and did not drive it for 6
months, the calipers on that rusted too!!!
I'm kind of curious now, I will go out and take a look at my doors, and
grab the VIN, I don?t expect it's in the window is it!! Will have to
find the log book.

Hi Dave

To be honest i find the amount of handwriting and markings etc on
the inside of the door headliners really interesting! Its great
seeing all the different handwriting, crossings out and dates etc on
the inside, as well as the useful stuff such as key numbers. You
dont get that on modern cars :)

I know when Chris P was refurbing his door headliners on Gully there
was amongst other markings some stickers on the inside of both doors
simply a red 'T' on one and a blue 'T' ive never seen that before or
since. i will try to unload a pic of both to the photos... Just when
are we going to get a new Forum :) :)

One another members car i looked at in the past this, like most had
a date on it which confirmed his understanding the the car had
another door fitted to it at sometime, as well as the other cars
ignition key code, i wonder what happened to that one  ....

Its sad looking at the last door off the production line pic....:(

You need to know your vin Dave ...its a crime not to know it off by
heart :)
