RE: [doc] unrelated question

Mike,
This "Ruined Country" has been good enough to me, but I agree it could
certainly be better.

It you lived in Iraq you may have different views on what "Freedom" or
dictatorship is.

Regarding asylum seekers, if I happened to be a young man, with the
misfortune to be born in some godforsaken country, or living in a bombed
out hovel that had been "liberated" by the West, and had repeated
satellite TV pictures showing how much better things are in the UK and
the rest of "civilised" Europe, you can bet your bottom dollar, I would
move heaven and earth to try and get into this country, by any means.
(The one you rate so poorly).

I'm not some "bleeding heart" left wing liberal, just an objective
observer who tries to see both side of any issue.

Anyway just my opinion.

PLEASE DON'T CONTINUE THIS TREAD. I THINK IT HAS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH.

We are supposed to be a DeLorean news group!

Best regards
Chris Parnham

Ha ha ha.

I can only laugh at how we all seem to be singing from the same hymn
sheet on this topic.

I'm expecting to be in Florida in early March so at least I'll get a
fortnight of not being subjected to this pitiful excuse for a country
and all of its dictatorship-like oppression.

Whatever it was that once made this country great has long since
departed I fear, although America has similar values as far a freedom is
concerned so I think fleeing to there is no great hardship if you can
look beyond their blatent misuse of the English language.

DOC meet at Planet Hollywood suits me (anywhere away from this ruined
country).

have. Tsk!

Anyway,

You couldn't be more right Dave.

This is what really winds me up and makes me want to leave my home
country and flee to the States for what can only be a better life
without all the oppression.

It's getting more like a dictatorship here every day.  Why are we
making all these concessions for people that have come to this country
as immigrants whereas we were born here?  If anyone dares say this sort
of thing in public they are branded a racist, yet that isn't the case.

What is racist about trying to stand up and retain some of the
rights that are being given away by human rights supporting idiots to
foreigners all the time?

I think this country has gone past the point of no return now
though, and all that remains to be said is would the last person out
close the door behind them.

  Hello again Paul,

to be honest having read your posts so far I think we'd get on
extremely well because our views are pretty much identical regarding
the
government and illnesses and such like.

Not only that but I too am hoping to move to the states because my
parents have a house in central Florida and I'm praying I can find a
way
of getting my ass out there permanantly because I've had about all I
can
take of this speed camera-infested, asylum seeker-filled, binge
  drinking-obsessed country!

When I'm out there on holiday I can't believe how much cheaper
things are. It just drums in how much we are all being ripped off
these
  days.

Oh, and buy the way it's my birthday today so after 3, you know the
  words. . . . Happy birthday to me . . . . . . . .

  Regards,

  Mike Sumner - 178

Cheers Mike. Like I said, we all have our little problems. Its how
we get through them that counts.

You are right about this country being like a dictatorship. They seem
to take away rights/privelages and liberties from law abiding
citizens,
and give criminals more freedom!!! In my opinion, criminals dont have
rights, they gave them up when they became criminals.
I can really get in depth about the faults with the government, so I
better not go there. The last time I did, it was an essay! :^D

Im moving to the States when I get the chance ! (With my D of
  course!) :^)

  Ha ha ha.

Very true about living in the UK these days Paul.

This country feels more like a dictatorship to me every day.

(very sorry to hear about your eye by the way)

You'll probably find its the other way round Dave. I think due to
most of our illnesses, we see life is too short for us not to "Go out
and get what we want". In my case for example : I was blinded in my
right eye at 15 years old, then was paralyzed from the neck down 5
years
ago. I can now walk and drive, but im still "Numb" over most of my
body.
Shortly after I got my walking ability back, I thought "Hmmm, If this
happened again, or I loose my vision in my left eye, Im really
screwed!". It was a combination of these things that made me go out
and
get my own computer shop "Something I always wanted" and to buy a
DeLorean "Which I thought would be totally impossible, as Ive wanted
one
since I saw them in the news in 82.

And regarding people using anti depressants "We live in the UK" what
  do you expect? :^P

Totally unrelated question, but how many people are actually well
  who
have deloreans, all of my friends have been very ill over the last
  year
without exception I just wondered if there is an epidemic that the
government is not telling us about, everyone seems to be on anti
  depressants?
