[doc] Fixed dimmer/rheostat...now i have a question!

Hi all
   
  I have taken the centre console out of my car as i am fitting a new dmch din stereo bracket...!
   
  I have just removed the original dmc stereo (Not a craig as my car is Aug 82).  I have also fixed the rheostat by adding a new stop...!
   
  The question is...one of the wires from the rheo goes to the original stereo....do i just remove it totally and only have wires on 3 of the terminals? - I take it the stereo was meant to dim with the binnacle lights...is this correct?
   
  adding the stop to the dimmer was relatively easy...i just have to wait till tomorrow to test it!
   
  any help appreciated
