FW: [doc] Tyres and the DELOREAN ON EBAY

Tyres and eBay car.

I too have two full sets of original 1981 NTC tyres, only done about one
thousand miles. Not perished or damaged, but very hard and 25 years old.
Any reasonable offer accepted.  When you are belting along at high
speed, the last thing you need is a blow out!

Regarding the "Technicolor" interior car on eBay, it is well known to
various club members and has been variously described as "a heap", or a
restoration project for some one with lots of money!   It's a ex Saudi
car, the current interior is very very poor, numerous missing parts, its
had another engine fitted years ago, it would not run last time a member
went to look at it. (although it may be running now) the chassis is very
rusty. It needs a total restoration. It has been valued as it stands at
about 5/6K max.

Don't even think about it Glen!

Best regards
Chris Parnham

It's sometimes really tough to convince owners that they really should
think about tyres... (Chrispy!) I've got a couple of sets of original
NCTs on the shelf and despite being apparently fine (and there for
anyone who ever wants 100% original) they're really hard and the
sidewalls are really flexible.
