I doubt its the tank itself .

You need to check your fuel filler /vent tubes, but i would start with
your fuel pump boot, cover and fuel lines.

Did you fill up at the garage on this journey?

Remove the cover(s) in the luggage compartment, i suspect the problem
all will come to light quickly.

Finally got round to putting in my new throttle cable inner wire
today... glad i did it was worn through by at least half of the wire
strands on the spool end, I wouldn't have wanted it to snapped whilst
overtaking you lot on the motor way one day :) :)
