The differences are very noticable, I think if you knew you would not put repro's on your Original D.
 
The difference in the re-production that is noticeable is that 
on the originals there is a thin slick seam that runs around the border of the material.
Also, the "DMC" on the front fender portions is printed in silver ink with an inner thin line around the "DMC" text.
On the re-productions there is NO seam, and the "DMC" is cut out letting the fender steel shine through and no slick seam around the sticker border, also the material is different as the original vinyl cannot be sourced, even if it were, I couldnt see how they would get the slick seam on the surround?
