RE: [doc] Don't laugh!

I bought a brown 1979 Mini 1000 in 1990, YJW722T.  It was a cracking little
car; one little old lady owner from new (before me I hasten to add), and
less then 60,000 miles on the clock.  It replaced my Vermillion orange 1978
Mini 850 which had to have nearly every panel replaced due to the tin worm.
I loved my Mini's, especially as in those days 4 tyres and a complete
exhaust system was less then £100 including fitting :o)

And when some silly tart in a Fiesta rearranged the front end by pulling out
in front of me on a roundabout, the old Min kept going and I used a bungee
cord hooked to the bonnet catch then wrapped around the bumper to hold the
bonnet down.

Ah, happy days (now where did I leave my rose tinted specs.....)

I've just bought an old mini...and it's brown. Not a bad runaround
when the D's in the garage for the winter.
