Jack the back of the car up and run the engine from cold with the cap 
off the bottle. Make sure you're getting water back through the return 
line (small top one), then put the cap on.

If the rad's getting hot, the rad fan switch should "see" the heat and 
switch the fans on. Maybe it's gone bad?
