I run a driving school down in west wales , I have always used diesel
the new common rail are brill my onboard computer on my 1.5 dci 65 bhp
clio tells me I,m doing 62 mpg on lessons and over 65 on a run.. Give me
diesel any day

Peugeot/Citroen HDi, Renault DCi and
can't-remember-the-name-Ford-Call-it are all common rail, but this means

basically that it's electronically controlled direct injection. The
VW/Audi TDi engines are also direct injection but are mechanical.

Germans are good at it too. Don't touch a Ford or Japanese one though!
