Tony, I've never heard any problems regarding pipes ( unlike the clutch) , I suspect your brake pistons would benefit from freeing off and , dare I say, a bit more heavy use.
 
The Servo's are pretty reliable generally.

My brakes don't seem very efficient and have been getting slowly worse.  I need to push the pedal very hard to get them to work.  The calipers and pads are all ok.  I suspect the servo.  Are the pipes prone to collapse? or are there other common problems which could give these symptoms.
