Not sure about the Contractors, but "Brodie and Hawthorne" were the local
Architects in Belfast who submitted plans to Govt and oversaw construction
of Factory.

I worked for them when I was doing my year out of University in the
late-'80s. One of my Projects was to look at the re-use potential of the
Factory, including subdividing it into a number of smaller industrial units.
