RE: [doc] My problem



If your starter has the umph to turn the engine when there is no
compression, but doesn't when it has to do some work - this suggests a
lack of power.

Make absolutely sure your battery is GOOD. Check all the big cables
going to it, make sure the connections are all clean and bright. Make
sure where the black earth cable is bolted to the chassis is good and
tight and corrosion free.

Poor connections lead to voltage drops and huge power losses - even
though a connection may _look_ good doesn't mean it is. Assume nothing.
Unbolt it, sand or wire brush it till it's shiny plus any bolts nuts and
washers, then reassemble.
