When I move forward is shoots down, when I stop it shoots upward. It jumps up and down a full 1/4 tank until settling. Is this normal? In large trucks with huge gas tanks I've seen this but not in small cars.

Our gas tank is a one piece product.
It has no dampening separations in the tank as a lot of modern cars have.
That's why any movement of car is represented in the fuel level gauge.

Welmoed.
