Congratulations Bill.you would have gotten as far as the front door of
Thomas Kimmerly's office with that approach.
In your effort to make sound judgment calls, you have neglected the
important role that politics play in the modern business world. John
DeLorean wasn't very good at this either, but he's gotten farther than you
in this game. Try again.

Subject: [DML] Re: JZD and the Cocaine Sting
I don't think anyone's life was in jeopardy. I think that was a lie JZD made
up after the arrest.
How would I have done things differently? Off the top of my head:
1) I would not have ignored my top engineers in favor of Lotus'
inexperienced (from a mass production perspective) ones
2) I would have produced a car salable in larger numbers, especially to the
British government for its own use
3) I would not have squandered scarce capital on projects that had nothing
to do with the task at hand, and which couldn't be built in the Dunmurry
factory anyway
4) I would have flown across the Atlantic at subsonic speeds
5) I would have stayed overnight in Belfast more than once
6) I would not have siphoned off millions of dollars for my own personal use
in secret swiss bank accounts
7) I would not have screwed a couple dozen Americans before screwing the
entire British citizenry
8) I would have told Roy Nesseth to go away
9) I would have put my American office in California
10) I would have reduced production if sales slowed
