You neglected to say how you use your car. If you use it as a daily driver, then you will pay a premium similar to what you are paying. If you use the car for club events and have another car that you use daily you should be able to get collectors car insurance.
If you go this route, check out all of the classic car insurance companies and go with the one you like best. I was with Haggerty for years, but found out that I was still being taken and changed to Condon & Skelly where I was able to double my coverage amount for the same premium.
