That is Cliff.  There is a MAJOR difference between gold plated,  and gold 
plate.  Zinc plate can be made to look like gold, and wear like a  standard 
plate.  (nickel, chrome, brass etc)   There is no  reason to use actual gold 
any more.  The baths available  now will  last longer and look better, not 
to mention the abuse new plates will  take.
