It's really not that hard a fix. My brother attached a heavier duty power ribbon to the door long ago (don't know where he obtained it), and it works great. (He's an Electrical Engineer) A bit stiffer than the original, but not prohibatively so. Yes, I have a bunch of cassetes & play them. Modern technology is NOT always better!
