You can take a chance for a lot less than that if you buy your stock
springs used from somebody who lowered his car. :)
For what it's worth, my experience runs thus: with the stock springs
in the front and Hervey's "Easy Rider" shocks I have no problems.
(Hervey's shocks are supposedly adjustable, but I didn't adjust them.)
No one but D connoisseurs seem to think that my car is "nose high,"
and I rarely put anything in the trunk/boot, so my car's front end is
as high as it's going to get.
