If the wax was a polymer product, for example Zaino or Meguiar's NXT, the only thing that will remove it is strong ethyl alcohol.  You can buy denatured ethyl alcohol in the paint section of any hardware store.  If it's carnauba wax, try ammonia.  You'd probably then need a product like back to black to get a good finish again.

Hello all,

I was washing my D and decided to wax the fascias, but I got some wax on the bumper. I've tried everything I can think of and have heard of to get it off, but nothing has worked. Any tips or secret formulas that will make my bumper completely black again? Thanks in advance.
