Yep Bead sealer is the way to go.
I used to use it back in the days when I was a Tire Tech for
Goodyear. We used it on problematic rims that we kept cleaning and
they would come back for leaks. One application and they never leaked
again.
Bead sealer is like a black liquid rubber type stuff, real sticky.
