[DML] Fuel pump growling

I have a motto at work... "New mistakes are being invented all the time, and
old ones rediscovered."
Here's a new one: My fuel pump was sounding starved just in the last few
days. Half a tankful cured the problem, but that's not a good enough answer,
especially since the pump and hose is only 2 years old. No, I don't have a
spring arrangement as David suggests inside the pickup hose. Or John H's
arrangement. Pulled the pump to check the hose and discovered that the guy who
attached the pickup hose- no, it wasn't me- neglected to tighten the clamp. That
sure ain't helpin' any! Tightened the clamp quite a bit, now we'll see how it
works.
