Wouldn't it be cool to adapt Tom Tait's idea "The battery re activation switch could easily be one of the door switches." To the reset function of the device below?  ;)

Or better yet, the break light switch (since you may want to open the doors without actually starting the car)

Funny, I thought of this earlier today and wanted to post it for Lauren and everybody else.  1063 has been running one of these for over 9 years, and I attribute my ridiculous battery longevity to it.  It automatically monitors your battery voltage, and when it senses a drain for too long, it shuts the battery off.  
 
What's nice is that is also protects you against leaving your lights on, doors open, etc. etc.  It will always leave you enough juice to start the car.  If it trips, you just hit reset and fire that mother up.
 
For 50 bucks, it's less than a battery will cost you, and super easy to install.
