That was a parking ticket.  The police car in the background made for 
a better picture though :)

I actually went to court over not having a front license plate, and 
defended that right in another ticket recently.  The judge said I just 
need to have the plate easily visible from the front (thus it is on my 
dash).  The law states that the plate must be at least 10 inches off 
the ground, and I pointed out that on a Delorean that would cover the 
front and that there is no plate holder.
