By far unless you had/have the experience to drive or own a "new"
Delorean in the 1980's era,it is hard to experience just what it's
like..I don't know it's just not the same..maybe it was just the
freshness and the newness of a new Delorean.
The Vette by far was the best handler, but with the z51 option,it
handled straight and true and glued to the roads at extreme high
speeds, with the Gaterback tires, but rode like a buckboard at street
speeds, and mine seemed to have all the electrical gremlins in it.
That is why I tried them all except a Ferrari(but I came close twice
to buying one)From the vettes to the trams-ams to the Mercedes SL's
to the Lotus Esprits,Bricklins, and Fiero Gt's,and further back to the
true Muscle cars of the 1960's GTO's(basically hotrods, you raced them
on the weekends, repaired them on the weekdays)But by far the best
were the Deloreans,the Fiero Gt's,(fastback)the Vette(s),Bricklin and
Mercedes in that order.

got my red 2000 C5 roadster in early 2002 I knew I was through with
DeLoreans. It is a super reliable driver's car that does 162 MPH and
gets 31 MPG in the process. I drive top down any time it is not
raining, down to 27 degrees. I couldn't care less what some people
say about Corvette drivers because I'm having way too much fun. And
with what I got out of selling Specialty Automotive and BLWNAWY I
also built a '32 Ford hot rod roadster. For those of you who think
that a DeLorean gets so much attention, try driving a street rod some
time. I've had 7 DeLoreans and a Bricklin, and they (like Corvettes)
don't begin to equal the attention a '32 Ford roadster gets
constantly. All I can say is, if you aren't getting a smile on your
face every time you drive your "special" car, there are lots of other
choices out there that just might open your eyes to a whole new
experience.
