How to check for slipping clutch disc do the following.  Rest the front of your DeLorean up 
against a fixed object like a tree or a wall.  Put your transmission in the highest gear, in 
your case 5th gear, and slowly let out the clutch pedal.  If the engine wants to die then 
your disc is grabbing well but if the disc continues to slip then it needs to be replaced.

the engine rpm climb as the speed increases up until around 3000rpm and then
