Taking it apart would be the last thing I would do. The AC evaporator
is before the heater core so any obstructions are probably there. If
you remove the blower motor you can access it with a vacuum.
That could be some of your problem but, if you haven't checked, and I
assume you feel the lack of air is on ALL speeds, I would suspect the
blower motor is dragging or the blower cage fins are full of dirt.
When you take the blower motor out you can use a spray gun (like the
type on bug-spray gallons) with water to flush the evaporator too.
These are things I have done to restore my air flow.
Over the years, on this car, I have lost air flow when the fuse
holder for speeds 1 and 2 (that also runs the AC clutch, etc.)
burned. All speeds slowed when the connection to the blower motor
became weak (and burned). I have replaced the blower motor two times -
the old ones just started dragging because the bearing surfaces on
the motors became shot.
