Elvis,
I agree with you completely, but everyone should note that there is a difference between the originals and the DMCH remanufactured ones. The two behave (and fail) quite differently. My repaired original gears have proven to be very reliable, when lubed periodically with my blend of synthetic grease and 80-90w gear oil.
The only time my original gave me any trouble was on the sub-zero temperature drive home from the previous owners house. However, at 2000 miles from home, I couldn't stop to lube it! I sure wish he had....

ROFL
wasn't it you who disconnected the idle speed motor
connector instead of fixing the little problem ????
Are you guys all bored or why is my mailbox stuffed
with angle drive mails instead of somebody really
working on it ? Little less conversation, a little
more action...
And why does mine work even though I have an original
one and the cable is wound like it always was ?
because I give it some drops of oil once or twice a year
and I check if everything runs smoothly without too much
force needed ?
if one breaks - stuff happens.
if two break - well, still could be wrong.
if three break - one should start thinking...
if four break - it's not the angle drive's fault!
