[DML] heat/ac/vent/defrost switch removal and door lights.

Hi fellow Delorean owners

does anyone know how to remove the vent/heat/ac switch in the center console.  I can take the knobs off, but don't want to force anything (ie the plastic face plate off).  i want to try to rebuild my switch w/ a new diaphram since it's leaking and my vents dont open for the heat/defrost or anything else.  
   
  also, my 6 door lights don't work at all and it's not the bulbs. could they be disconnected somewhere?  
   
  any help/advice is certainly appreciated.
