It's nothing special, just go to the hardware store and find a screen
door spring that is the right OD and length to fit inside the hose.
The hard part is screwing it in! If your hose is very soft and spongy
you might consider replacing it. Also be very careful when
reinstalling. You do not want to turn it and kink it as you install
the fuel pump. Make sure the screen on the end of the hose is clean
and all of the parts are properly installed and positioned. I would
wipe out the tank while you are in there to get rid of any water or
dirt that may be inside.
