A long post but I only want to point out one thing. Some coolant leaks
are very hard to identify directly. Especially if they are on the top
of the motor under the intake manifold. You will only know for sure
because the coolant level will always be low and you are constantly
putting in small amounts. The best defense is a strong offense ie, if
it has been a long time (or you just don't know) when the hoses and
seals were done under the manifold then you should have a Master Water
Pump kit done and change ALL of the hoses, seals, water pump, and belts.
