Sounds normal for an OEM oil gauge sender that is actually working
properly.
As long as the oil light is out you are ok. I run 5w-40 synthetic and
on a hot day at idle my oil pressure will be between the first mark and
zero (70,000 miles). That is a normal gauge reading for a working OEM
sender. Most OEM senders do not work properly - thus always
reading "80" or so.
The manual specifies proper oil pressure at various RPMs - I've checked
a mechanical gauge against my working OEM sender/gauge reading - they
are close.
