Hi Glen,
The only potential problems would be, in order of likelihood:
1) Failing to fit the copper pipe from the idle speed motor back into the air meter casing properly or losing the o-ring on the pipe, making a gross vacuum leak
or
2) messing up the throttle linkage
Otherwise, just use a notebook and jot down each part or wire you remove, and then be sure to reinstall in reverse order, checking items off as you go. The fuel system will lose pressure, but once it is back together, it will only take an extra second of cranking to get started. It will be a learning experience for you! If you remove the W-pipe on the front of the air intake, be sure to order new gaskets in case they get damaged. This is another site of vacuum leaks. Take your time, and clean everything really well as you go. Your engine will probably look a lot nicer when you are done. Remember to bleed the slave cylinder before you reinstall the fuel system, it will be much easier, but with a few extensions you can do it with everything in place if you didn't get all the air out. Also, be careful removing those allen screws for the distributer and the grounds. Those can break off.
BTW, the slave cyl can be replaced with the transmission on the car. You will probably need a good tool set with universals though.

Subject: [DML] Question - Removal of fuel injection system for clutch slave replacement
Hi,
I gather from previous posts that replacing the clutch slave cylinder
from above the engine is easiest if the fuel injection system
components that block it are removed first. If this is done, is it
just a matter of putting everything back together afterwards or are
there any special proceedures that have to be done
