So I did some more testing tonight - I again checked my #9 & #11 pins
for the thermistor and verified that the resistance was approx 10K ohms
less once the car warmed up, so no problem there. I used my propane
bottle to check for vaccuum leaks, but didn't find any. I checked the
idle speed motor and it was humming with the ignition on and the car
not running. I took off the air filter assembly and played around with
the throttle / micro switch. It seems to be closing all the way, I
pushed on it as far as it would go and no change, it still idles high.
Then, the strangest thing happened - when I was putting the air filter
back on (connecting the large hose below the overflow bottle) and
moving the wiring harness that goes over the intake, the idle dropped
from almost 2K rpm down to 800rpm. This makes me think that something
is just loose somewhere, and since I'm only having the high idle as the
car warms up, I'm not sure where to start hunting.
Any ideas?
