Darryl, If it's been sitting that long and the fluid and filter cleaned or
replaced, then it's most likely the shift computer. I repair them.

Working on 5017.  Starts in 2nd and stays there. No manual shift abilities
either. Car has been sitting for years and shifted once on a test drive. Any
ideas? I will be changing the fluid and filter this weekend.
