I firmly believe that relocating the transmission computer away from
the stock location on the transmission housing to a project box
located somewhere further away from the heat and elements will improve
reliability of the computer. Since updating my shift computer with
fresh caps and transistors and mounting it in a project box in the
engine bay, I have not had a single misshift or issue in 3 years and
over 11,000 miles.
