A relay is cheaper than LED's
:)
Considering you are protecting a switch that is near
impossible to replace now, spending a few $$ on the
relay is no big deal.
>From what I understand, the DMCH replacement switch
will be electronically controlled. Even though I
decided for a number of reasons not to "invest" in the
venture of replacement switches, I am disappointed
that there will not be true reproductions of the
switch. Unless there is a true reproduction made,
these switches will only become more rare and
expensive, so it is best to protect them.
The one thing I need to do is add a fuse to the light.
I keep hearing that this is not fused, so a short
could melt the switch anyway. Anyone have details on
that? Clearly, it would be easy to add a fuse right
at the switch, but it really should be close to the
battery.
