Correction (and notification that I sometimes trail-off when I talk
and drive at the same time): I don't know if CLR would remove any
discoloration for certain, but SOS pads are commonly the CAUSE of
rust on stainless steel. You've gotta use Scotch Brite pads to try
and scuff out the offending metal bits that are embedded in the
Stainless. Then go back and regrain and hit it with a blending pad.
It will work with any type of stainless surface: Car fenders/trim
panels, sinks, countertops, cutlery, etc.
